187: Helping Veterans Run for Public Office with Raz Shafer
Need a coach for your political campaign? Listen as Joe Crane talks about Helping Veterans Run for Public Office with Raz Shafer, the founder of My Campaign Coach. Find out why he prefers working with military veterans.

“Through campaign coaching, our goal is to help make sure that we are going to have more men and women … who would know that they would have somebody to walk with them and fight alongside them to get them ready to file and become a candidate on the ballot.” – Raz Shafer

Helping Political Candidates

Raz’s passion for politics started when he was a kid. One time, his parents had a friend who ran for State Representative. But despite all the effort they exerted, their candidate still lost by 12 votes on recount.

Even at such a young age, he already knew how much the fight mattered. Born out of passion, he went to study politics in college. Now, he is on the track as a campaign coach.

What Candidates Need

His company is called My Campaign Coach. On their website, you will find online courses, a podcast, and other forms of content that aim to help put up a winning campaign.

Raz saw the importance of training and preparation for candidates. And he is available to stand by them as a coach.

Campaign Coach for Military Veterans

Raz has worked with a number of military veterans. He wanted to work with people with leadership skills. People who have seen both its good and bad examples.

He also wanted to work with those who are loyal and understands the value of honesty. It did not take him long to realize that the veterans were just the kind of people he wanted to work with.
